Pittsburgh's Bae Ji-hwan has four RBIs, including three-run homers, in the final game of the Triple-A season

Pittsburgh Pirates' Bae Ji-hwan (25) played with four RBIs, including a home run, in the final game of the minor league Triple-A season.

Bae Ji-hwan, a member of the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians under Pittsburgh, started in left field against the St. Paul Saints (under the Minnesota Twins) at CHS Field in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA on the 23rd (Korea time) and recorded 2 hits (one home run), 1 run, 4 RBIs, and 1 walk in 4 at-bats.안전놀이터

Bae Ji-hwan hit an infield hit in his first at-bat in the first inning, followed by a three-run home run over the right-center fence in the fifth inning with one out and runners on the second and third bases.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, he added an RBI by hitting a ground ball to the second base with the bases loaded with one out, contributing to his team's 9-4 victory.

With the game ending all Triple-A schedules, Bae Ji-hwan finished the season with a batting average of 0.341 in 66 Triple-A games this season and seven home runs, 41 RBIs and 14 steals.

His performance in the big leagues was disappointing, however. He recorded a batting average of 0.231 with 32 RBIs and 24 steals in 111 games last season, raising his chance of becoming a "utility player" but played 29 games this season with a batting average of 0.189.

His performance in the big leagues was sluggish considering that he started late due to injuries and other reasons. Eventually, he suffered demotion to the minor leagues three times and failed to get a position in Pittsburgh, which is under construction.

With Pittsburgh only six games left in the regular season, Bae Ji-hwan will end the 2024 season as it is if he is not called up for the rest of the season.
